“Till The World Ends (Remix)” – Britney Spears Feat. Nicki Minaj & Ke$ha

So I’m not sure if this is THE official remix, but it’s definitely AN official remix… The bridge part is kinda crazy awesome but the rest of it I’m mildly unsure of. It just seems kind of pointless. It’s the same song with random parts that are changed – Ke$ha sings part of the chorus and it’s just so auto-tuned and pointless that it may as well have been Britney. I don’t get it. Am I gonna listen to it though? Yea. Yea, I am.

“Something’s Coming” – Alex Young

Ready for the next biggest movement in pop music? I PROMISE you will like this song and your emotions will run wild.

If you haven’t heard of Alex Young.. you’re behind! Not only is she the next hottest pop diva on the scene, but she’s a diva with a message. Her latest single, “Government Name”, did extremely well, garnering the #4 position on MTV Logo’s Pop charts and sustaining this position for over 6 weeks (it’s still there!). Now, Alex is back with a new single called “Something’s Coming”.

The first time I heard this song, I instantly got chills down my spine, and couldn’t get it out of my mind for weeks. With the deep crisis the world is in, there is a huge need for hope and a greater need for change. “Something’s Coming” is a message of both. We NEED to make a change in this world before something really tragic happens, like the tsunami in Japan or the earthquake in Haiti, to name a few. You MUST listen to this beautiful song – the instrumental is incredible, the lyrics are moving (to say the absolute LEAST), and AY’s vocals are beyond amazing. Truly touching.

Stay tuned for this soon-to-be-viral music video dropping very soon! I will post the download link with the video.

YES YES YES. Florence dubstep!! I brought you Derek Sabiston’s Bassnectar Vs. Willow Smith dubstep mix of “Whip My Hair”, and now he just emailed me with his latest dubbity doo remix. It’s SO amazing. Part of me is getting tired of dubstep and womping, but the other part of me listens to this song and melts in it. Love. THIS.

Rolling In The Deep (Kenton Dunson Remix)” – John Legend (Right click + “Save link as” to DL)

WOW. This guy is cuhrazy talented. I can not get over how amazing these two songs are. The first is an original by Kenton called “Momentum”. It’s an R&B/hip-hop fusion song with strings, guitar, samplings, and awesome electro beats toward the end. I really can not deal with how good this is. Absolutely smitten.

The second song is a remix of John Legend’s cover of Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep”. Mildly confusing, but nonetheless incredible. He adds his hip-hop twist to the song and makes it sooo cool (even though it was already pretty epic).

I need more Kenton! Gimme gimme.

Wow! I’m shocked by how awesome this is. It’s kind of reminiscent of Passion Pit. But not as electro. And a little more hippity hoppity. The algorithm for this song would be something like:

Passion pit – 1/4 electro + 1.5 hip-hop = “Life Or Something Like It”

That may not be 100% accurate. I’ve never been much of a mathematician.
