Feeling this one. I’m usually feeling Lupe, but today I’m definitely feeling him. I also enjoy a Trey Songz song that isn’t babymaking music. Good change up for him. The track has some crazy synths, and Lupe + Trey are a great match sonically. Check zis one out, if you feel so compelled.

I. Love. This. Such a smooth, head-bobbing jam, and I know it’s gonna end up being a Springtime fave. It’s definitely too early to say this, but I’m already getting Spring Fever. I am smitten with this song. Thoroughly loving the Smokey Robotic movement. There’s something about hip-hop and rock that I absolutely love. Produced by !llmind, this is almost Linkin Park-ish, but isn’t stupid. The drums, the harmonies, the guitar, AHH! Obsessed. It’s so intense and ear-nomilicious. This is a must download. Smokey Robotic’s Outside The Lines EP is due out in March. “Voices” will also be the first official single off !llmind’s forthcoming new Blaps, Rhymes & Life mixtape. Love this! This is E-TRAIN’s new single. He goes in over the most epic movie’s theme song, Inception, and adds a killer Biggie sampling to top it all off. This is super creative en mi opinion, and it’s just plain GOOD. Here’s what his manager had to say about it:

Please welcome with open arms The Dean’s List brand new mixtape, The Drive In. It’s sooo Dean’s List. I’m not sure how to describe it besides by saying that; if you know The Dean’s List’s style, then you know what I’m talking about. If you don’t, let me try to explain.. It’s a mix of chill, college culture hip-hop mixed with occasional uptempo songs and sick tracks. Does that work? I think so.
My favorite on the mixtape is “Dear Professor”, which has a super catchy sampling, a fun beat, and an awesome flow. My second favorite is “Light Up The Sky (Feat. Dani Ummel)” because I love Dani Ummel’s vocals on the chorus and the instrumental is crazy. Honorable mention goes to “All Systems Go (Feat. OnCue)”. HAHA!!! OH MY GAWD! This is my new favorite video! I actually can not stand this song and did not want to watch the video at all, but figured as a self-proclaimed pop music guru that I should give it a look-see. I’m so glad I did because this video is EPIC. It’s absolutely hilarious, random, fun, crazy, and RIDICULOUS. I can’t stand it. So amazing. I don’t know how they got James Van Der Beek to participate in such stupidity, but I am thoroughly thrilled with it. The best scene by far is the last moment of the video. When I say this is a MUST watch, I mean every letter of it. The colors, the unicorns, the James, the hottness, wow. Allow the hilarity to ensue.

Can you say “next Jason Mraz”!? I absolutely love this! Such a cute, fun song and an adorable video to go with it. How cute is he?! Look at his dimples! I feel like I’m just sitting in his living room jamming with him. Andrew Allen is a new artist on Sony’s new artist, and they emailed me this video which I was thrilled to post. He almost sounds like an acoustic Justin Timberlake. This video is blowing up Vevo’s spot, so get on board now & you can tell everyone you knew Andrew Allen first! I’m already singing this one.
Hokay, so… I love everything about this song, the beachy feel, the originality, the mashup aspect (Diddy’s “Coming Home” Vs. Eminem/Dre’s “I Need A Doctor”), the vocals, etc. EXCEPT. Is it just me or does the guitar sound out of tune!? Am I being picky? I don’t know. Please listen and answer me. On another note, I love PJ Simas’ covers, they’re always super cool and this one is no exception.
